The Pork Expo is the first event of its kind in Uganda. At the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala several decision makers and employees along the entire piggery value chain are gathered under one roof in order to share knowledge and experience, raise awareness about concerns of the industry, enter into partnerships and long lasting business relationships.
The main topic of the event is pig farming including aspects such as feed additives and farm equipment, marketing strategies and value addition techniques. In addition, the event calls the visitors’ attention to threats of the industry such as African swine fever. Finally, pork dishes are prepared and can also be tried and the visitors will have the opportunity to participate in B2B meetings and training seminars on pig breeding.
Towards the end of the second day, the event is completed by a celebration with musical entertainment.
The PORK EXPO will take place on 2 days from Saturday, 24. June to Sunday, 25. June 2017 in Kampala.
KCCA striker Geoffery Sserunkuma came on to secure a win for Cranes against Cape Verde in Praia. He come on and in the 83th minute he scored from his first touch. The goal let Uganda Cranes win the game and taking all the three points and giving it a lead on the table of group L.
